Closest in Orlando to true NY style pizza. I used to live a couple of streets away and that is the only thing I miss about Altamonte Springs is Anthonys. Whenever I am in the area I stop by for a couple of slices. The salads are really good also. I am from up north (CT/NY) and this is the place I get my pizza that makes me feel like I am home.

I had my WEDDING catered by this place, really! My guests raved about the fettuccini alfredo with chicken, lasagna, and chicken parmesan. We eat here about once a month and out favorite pizzas are the BBQ Chicken pizza and the Chicken Pesto Pizza, but really everything is delicious. Customer service is great too.

YOU MUST TRY THE GARLIC KNOTS. Ask for extra garlic sauce, use it on Knots and your Pizza. The Sicilian is to DIE for, Wonderful Bianca pizza pie. NY-Like atmosphere. Everything you get is Freshly Made, Wonderful tasting and Worth the Moderate price. Kitchen open and in view. Friendly staff. Have been going there for over 10 years. When it was called "Papa Anthony's" Wish I could Go more.

Dang! Thank you my fellow Yelpers, this place is Da BoMb! The family and I had a large half Margherita and Half Boss pizza, the sauce on this pie was Lite and not over powering, nice slices of Italian sausage, pepperoni, fresh veggies and awesome cheese. The Margherita side was garlicky nice touch of olive oil fresh tomato but awesome to eat, just delish! If you ever in Altamonte, Fl. This is a MUST stop!

I am new to the area and just stumbled across this pizzeria. I am Soooo glad I did! Hands down the best pizza I have ever had. The whole family loves it and it is a staple at least once a week!

Our favorite pizza place in central Florida. We always get the chicken pesto pizza and split the Ceasar salad. We also occasionally stop and pick up a slice or two.

This place is awesome! The pizza is consistently fresh and delicious. Whether you're eating in or taking out, the service is friendly and helpful. It's a no-frills, old school style restaurant, but the food is outstanding. The pizza margherita is my favorite, but beware if you aren't a garlic lover...it's loaded!

The absolute best pizza hands down outside of New York! The calamari is crunchy & fresh, the meat lasagna is superb, the garlic knots are outstanding & you must try their white pizza & calzones...to die for! The service is fast, friendly & courteous! If you are in the mood for a perfect ending to your meal, you must get a cannoli! If you want awesome Italian food or pizza, this is definitely the place to go in this area!

Pretty crappy. The plain cheese pizza was the best thing I had and it wasn't that great. Over done crust. Pretty rude service especially over the phone. To me, great service could make up for lack luster food. No help here. I had the Bianca pizza and I was absolutely covered in ricotta cheese and way too much garlic. That pizza went in the trash after trying one piece. A good example of less is more. The Bianca would have tasted fine if there were much less toppings. Pass this place up. And no delivery? What are they thinking?

This is one of my favor spots. They have a lot of goodies and I love their staff. If you like pizza as much as I do then Anthony's is yje place for you. My fave dish is The Boss and its a pie with everything included and the best part is you would want to take some home. If that don't get your attention than I guess Pizza Hut is a place you want to visit.

Anthony's pizza got great reviews, but I could not justify them. We got our food really fast, bit no one ever checked on Us for long periods of time. Our pizza was very soggy, when we asked complained about it we were ignored..then when we were paying our bill we complained to the owner Because it was difficult to eat. The owner said it was because we ordered the Marguerita pizza.. Well we have ordered this type of pizza at many different restaurants ..never have we had soggy pizza. The attitude of the owner was unacceptable to blame us for ordering the wrong pizza. The bill also doesn't get itemized with prices unless you ask, in which the waitress then get a hostile attitude. The price was too high for the low quality of food, and poor service. It was very apparent the waitresses hear these comments daily, and are told to do nothing.

This is the best pizza in Florida. Coming from Chicago and might be some of the best pizza in the country. Don't miss it try the garlic knots as an appetizer save the garlic sauce for your pie amazing

Good food but a little over priced for pizza. The pizza can come out a little under done, I recommend asking for well done. The toppings are fresh which is why I keep coming back! The lasagna is awesome, give it a try! The dining room is usually busy however I've only ever ordered take out. Hands down better then your typical pizza chain.

Basically if you want just garlic and bread and more garlic doused in oil.... This place is the best! Garlic knots are the tastiest guilty pleasure you can ever eat leaving you with the world's baddest breath. But it's soooo worth it! Oh ....and the pizza was just ok.

This is your typical Anthony's around town, which translates into good pizza and garlic knots, with other assorted Italian pastas and sandwiches. Every time I have been in here, the service is good, and there isn't any sort of long wait. The main issue I find with places like this is not that it is a bad meal, but that there seems to be little to no difference between the plethora of Anthony's restaurants in town, even though they are not affiliated to my knowledge. All in all, it is a convenient place with good food, and that is A-OK for me.

This place is up there on its quality of pizza. The service I experienced through the years has been really good and deserving of this rating.

I didn't get the pizza, maybe that's really good, but the chicken Marsala was beyond bad. Tough, dry chicken, salty, greasy sauce and mushrooms that tasted like they could be out of a can. The tiramisu, though obviously made with instant coffee, was passable. The eggplant Parmesan was also acceptable. Very friendly service.

  • Julianne E.

This place is clean with exceptional service! I usally get the Bianca pizza and a salad. The pizza is loaded with garlic and it's fabulous! Today i had a regular slice of cheese and a small side salad. eh, it was really greasy, the oil was dripping off onto my hands and plate. The salad was iceburg, some black olives, white onions, cucumber and tomatoes slices that weren't all that ripe. I was kind of disappointed today. But it won't stop me from going back. Next time I'll stick to my regular order.

Just enough of everything makes it just right. Thin crust pizza that's just like a taste of home - NYC, that is. It would have been easy to drive by after doing some grocery shopping at the nearby Publix. By I stopped in for a slice of cheese with spinach (a truly great topping, in my mind) and tomatoes. The restaurant has enough seating for single parties, foursomes, and full families. The staff is courteous and professional and the service was fast. The bathroom was very clean. [If the bathroom is clean, so is the kitchen - same people clean it.]. The sauce tasted homemade and the dough wasn't "dough-y." It's nice to know I can go buy yogurt and fruit and gallons of water that's good for me and then trot next for a slice of pizza that gives me that life balance everyone keeps talking about (lol).

After moving down to Florida from New York about 2 years ago Anthony's is the best pizza I've had since I've been here. It seems though that this Anthony's is a lot less stingy with the garlic knots then the one on Semoran boulevard. We love coming here it's in a nice area and they're always so friendly.

The magharitta pizza is so good here! I will never go to another local pizza joint I've learned my lesson Anthony's is the way to go the only thing that could make them better would be delivery but they are a close drive so it's not too bad.

You know what Orlando needs? More pizza places named Anthony's. Anyways, I come here a lot for lunch during the week. The service is really fast so it's an ideal choice for lunch breaks. My usual is the salad and slice of Bianca for $5.99. The salad is kinda sad since it's really just lettuce with two slices of cucumber, but the pizza is good. If you're looking for quality food and service on the cheap, give this place a try.

  • Digital B.

This Anthony's pizza is similar to the other Anthony's around Orlando. They were once owned by the same family, but was later sold off. Their pizza is really good and my family and I prefer driving the extra five miles even though we have Italian places two minutes from our home. My favorite pizza is the VIP with out any peppers or onions. They give a good amount of sauce on the side for dipping. Their sauce is good with just enough tangy Italian spices to give it that special flavor.

Tasty pizza and a kick-ass staff! What's not to like? Anthony's is like the go-to spot for lunch in the office. Anytime I see a pizza box in the office kitchen; I already know where it's from. The pizzas are piping hot with fresh toppings to boot! For the occasions that I do get to stop by their store during lunch; they offer a decently priced lunch menu. Keep in mind that this place is a popular lunch spot so call ahead if you don't have the time to wait! FYI, pies are available in 2 sizes: 12 or 16 inch. Side note, the server's here are so sweet! Their hospitality really adds to the dining experience. Well, for me at least. :)

Awesome hole-in-the-wall pizza place right around the corner from RDV Sportsplex. The office ordered a couple of pizzas to go and it was hopping when I picked them up (order ahead for take-out). We got pepperoni and margarita. I'm usually not one for margarita pizzas but this one was delicious. It's really messy but it's sloppy goodness for the soul! The fresh basil with garlic and olive oil really had popping flavors. Definitely check this place out!

Came here when we were visiting a friend who lives nearby. I didn't expect the pizza to be that good, but it was delicious! We ordered a Small (12") Spinach & Tomato pizza for $11.99. Very flavorful! The small was big enough to satisfy the hunger of the two of us and we still had some leftover.

    (4)
  • Rhianna S.

This pizza is sooo delicious!! The crust had a crunchy outside but soft middle like a good bread. And the cheese, the cheese is so yum! Price is typical for a pizzeria, $10 for medium size pepperoni, worth it! And the staff was great, they let me order late and pick up after closing. The floor was wet and they helped me across the floor and carried my pizza out for me, can't wait to come back during the day and check out the rest of the menu!

    (5)
  • Brian B.

Without a doubt the Best pizza in Orlando. I drive 25 minutes to get their pie to take home, and worth the trip. Best way to gauge a good pizza is a plain cheese, and they nail it. I have no issues adding toppings to a cheap pizza to improve the taste, here it is not needed. Plain old cheese pie, hands down the Best Orlando has to offer!

As a connoisseur of pizza, I have to say that Anthony's makes some of the best pies you'll find in the Orlando area. I've been coming here for years, and I've never been disappointed. There is ample seating indoors and some tables outside, although I almost always carry out. The facilities are clean, the service is excellent, and I've never had to wait long for my food. Prices are reasonable, and there is a good selection of Italian food besides pizza on the menu. The stromboli and fried cheese are two of my favorites, although I pretty much always find myself going for the irresistible pizza. When this place first opened, I met the owner and he was a bit rude. Not sure if he's still around or not, but after my first visit years ago, I've never encountered him again, so no big deal.

BEST FOR LUNCH- This is my lunch spot during the week when I need to get out of the office. They have lunch specials that are VERY reasonable and quick. My "usual" for lunch is the VIP slice with a cup of soup. The soup here is always good and the VIP slice is a meat and veggie stuffed pizza sandwich served with a side of marinara for dipping all for $8. Just make sure you get there before 12:00 or after 1:00 as it is packed for lunch during the week with the lunch crowd.

Great pizza, friendly staff, good prices. I was happy to find a pizza place that served real pizza at a good price. Their calzones and strombolis are good too. Do yourself a favor and stop eating the mass produced pizza and grab a real pizza from Anthony's.

I was glad to find out that this Anthony's is not the same as the one in Casselberry. This place was packed on a Friday night. We had to wait a little bit for a table, which is no big deal, exvept there is no where to wait that you aren't in the way. The food here is good. The bianca is not the best I've ever had, but decent. I like the fact that you can order pizza by the slice anytime. I also enjoyed by small greek salad. There meatball sub is yummy. They also offer some pasta dishes as well.

We will definitely be going back to Anthony's the next time we are in Altamonte. I wish they had one in Jacksonville!:-)

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
